Thank you for this informative article! Would like to see studies that show the effects of using a combination of good physical lifestyle changes as you have listed in "Settle Your Stomach" along with psychological therapies on the gut response. My colleague Robert Sterling and I found in counseling hundreds of people over a 40 year period that when they used the Somatic Reflection Process on the gut feeling of emptiness and fullness, they were able to achieve a unity of body-mind and resolve issues from the past, which was reported by many people to "settle the stomach" as you say, increase body awareness, increase self awareness, reduce stress, and we theorized it thus also improved the immune system. If you are interested in our work, you might find of interest our book available on Amazon "What's Behind Your Belly Button? A Psychological Perspective of the Intelligence of Human Nature and Gut Instinct". More is on this at: http://careerstorefront.angelfire.com. And we invite you to our blog site where we explore gut feelings: nstinctualgutfeelings.blogspot.com/2013/04/most-viewed-blog-posts-on-exploring-gut.html. Would love to have you join us there!

Interesting question! Sulfur dioxide is added to young, green sugarcane as a preservative. Molasses made from mature sugarcane is often unsulfured.
Why not sulfured molasses?
Fundamental sulfur is about 1/3 of the body's building blocks and operating chemistry.
Is the KIND of sulfur used in some molasses, the wrong kind?
How?

Hi,

What a great post on Blackstrap Molasses.

I have been using Bragg ACV for about a year now, initially to control my weight, then as I learned more about it, for uterine fibroids and my heavy menstrual flow and pain in my joints. It really has worked wonders for me but once I started reading more about it, I found that adding blackstrap molasses would help even more with my heavy menstrual flow and anemia. It helped with that almost immediately. I am peri menopausal approaching the fifties, and these natural wonders have done so much for me. I also add a little baking soda to my concoction, as it's supposed to help my body stay alkaline. If you have trouble getting the right kind of molasses or ACV, you can get it from this website: http://www.doyoueveinstitute.com
