Exercise is one of the most effective ways to quickly and easily improve your mood, especially during times of stress. Making an effort to move forward with an exercise even when stressed or uncomfortable can make a massive improvement in your mood due to the chemicals released during physical activity. When we are stressed, social media and other applications can make things worse. After all, you are sitting around feeling less than spectacular and your cousin is posing photos from a dinner party. It can really make you feel like you are excluded or isolated, even if it is not true. Unplugging from social media can be very beneficial to help you introspect on your own situation instead of feeling worse about it.
Be Kind To Yourself
According to leading mental health specialists, being too hard on yourself can be detrimental to your mental health. Things like volunteering at your local animal shelter, or donating to a charity can help to make you feel like you are contributing to the lives of others, thus enriching your own.

Sometimes, you just have to roll with the stress. Stress is a natural response we experience to stimuli and sometimes, you just have to accept it. If this is the case, give yourself the time you need and be gentle with yourself until you can shake your way back to normal.
